What does a Google review link actually do?
It opens Google's write-a-review dialog for your business directly — no searching, no scrolling past competitors. Customers tap the link (or scan the QR code) and land straight on the star-rating form, which dramatically increases how many reviews you collect.
Where do I find my Google Place ID?
Use Google's free Place ID Finder (linked inside the tool). Type your business name as it appears on Google Maps, click your listing and copy the ID — it usually starts with 'ChIJ'. If your business has multiple locations, each one has its own Place ID.
Is it against Google's rules to ask for reviews?
Asking customers for honest reviews is fine and encouraged. What Google prohibits is offering incentives (discounts, freebies) in exchange for reviews, review gating (only asking happy customers) and posting fake reviews. Share the link with every customer and let them say what they think.
